Key Responsibilities:
* Establish sound understanding of the customer needs, challenges, competition, key trends etc
* Set clear objectives and develop strategies for each account to drive penetration and growth
* Established good rapport with decision makers (at all levels)
* Service & maintain existing business (contracts, quotations, tenders, relationship management)
* Proactively sorting for new business opportunities to secure sales
* Participate in sales forecasting, budgeting and market data collection an updates
* Coordinate and participate in major marketing initiatives e.g. exhibitions, symposiums, promotional campaigns etc

Requirements:
* Degree in Science, Biotechnology or Life Sciences
* Candidates must have at least 2 - 3 years' sales experience, preferably in medical consumables or FMCG.
* Strong customer-orientation with ability in developing and fostering long term effective relationships with key accounts and physician
* Adaptable to dynamic and changing environment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
1. Develop, implement and evaluate nutrition educational programs and monitoring systems.
2. Determine the nature and extent of nutritional needs and requirements of target populations.
3. Provide nutritional assessment counseling to high-risk clients and participate in patient case planning conferences.
4. Monitor public health clinics to assure the effectiveness of client counseling and educational intervention.
5. Coordinate and work cooperatively with other nutritional service providers.
6. Organize and/or interface with community groups to provide programs to meet nutritional needs.
7. Prepare media releases and develop educational materials.

Minimum Requirements:
Education: Current registration with the American Dietetic Association as a Registered Dietitian.

Conditions of Employment

Travel: Travel throughout the county may be required. Employees will be required to make provision for transportation. At the time of hire, a valid California driver license and proof of automobile liability insurance must be produced for the individual providing the transportation.

Desired Qualifications:
A master’s degree in nutrition or public health is highly desirable.

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Oversees, plans, analyzes and monitors the delivery of health nutrition services for the Health Department and the community.

CORE FUNCTIONS
Delegate and supervise staff responsibilities for the maintaining of records, supplies, measuring equipment and space allocation. Assigns staff for optimal client flow and efficiency. Evaluates staff performance; makes referrals for training; maintains professionalism when communicating at all times; participates and instructs his/her staff to attend all scheduled meetings, in-services, and training. Reports absenteeism to time keeper; tries to settle conflicts at site level; positively assists in training new WIC employees. Initiates counseling and disciplinary actions and should have no internal/external Customer Service complaints. Assesses all factors in individual records according to policy, which includes: income; 24 hours recall; anthropometric and hematological data; medical history; and S.I.F. for accuracy. Determines all applicable risk factors and Nutrition Education codes, assigns correct food package, and signs & dates all pertinent papers. In addition reports and documents any incidents of child abuse/neglect. Through the use of appointment reminder cards and phone calls, contact participants with initial, recertification, and missed appointments. Encourage and allow walk-ins and late arrivals (high risk or hardship cases) when possible.

WORKING CONDITIONS
The position is physically comfortable, the individual has discretion about walking, standing, etc.

MINIMUM EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Requires a Bachelor of Science degree in Nutrition or Dietetics; and the successful completion of an internship which meets the approval of the A.D.A.


MINIMUM LICENSE REQUIREMENTS
Valid Texas Driver’s License and compliance with the City of Houston’s policy on driving (AP 2-2). Registration with the American Dietetic Association (RD) is preferred. Depending on assignment may require both Registration (RD) and state of Texas licensure (LD), if working in areas involving Medicare/Medicaid reimbursement.
